The Planchet Division errors happen when the alloy is being mixed and during and just after the creation of the planchet, but before the coin is struck by the working dies.

Clipped Planchet – Incomplete Clip – Blank (Type 1)

The Die Division occurs during the creation of the die or during the use of the die as it breaks down and begins to crack apart.
