Patriotic Civil War Tokens
The three token dies below bear inscriptions dedicating the token to a particular person and claiming the token to be a medal. Possibly a play on words by substituting the word medal for metal. They were each valued as one cent in trade currency. Two of the token dies below are attributed to Charles D. Horter. He worked out of a residence in New York City directly across from Emil Sigel.
