Good morning folks,
Was sifting through my Mercury dimes tonight and noticed this tiny little, badly placed anomaly on a Good (maybe VG?)-condition coin. It looks like a die chip that is rather "conveniently" in the shape of a 1. It almost tricked me into thinking it might be a leftover from an erroneous date stamp. I knew better this time than to think this was something of significance, though.
I'm mainly just showing this one off to remind people minor chips/cracks can look an awful lot like something else, sometimes! Plus, I mean... come on, the location couldn't have been much better to trick someone like me LOL.
Please let me know if y'all would like more pics. I can try to get some better ones.

Hello, good morning! Looks like a well-placed scratch to me.CoinPyro wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 4:51 am Good morning folks,

Ah, so not even a chip? Looked like it had the right reflection so I was hopeful that was a bump not a canyon, but you may be right.SensibleSal66 wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 4:58 am Hello, good morning! Looks like a well-placed scratch to me.
