found this penny it has a willow tree on the obverse, I have never seen this on any coin before. If you run a finger across it, it feels like it is in the coin almost like real fine ridges. Do you have any idea what this is or what caused this? I have been referring to it as the Willow penny as it reminds me of a willow tree.

I agree, when you touch a coin, you leave oil on the coin. the metals of the coin will oxidize because of it and you got the trace.
