V cent coin not sure if it’s a fake or legit coin?

looks like a play coin that kids might play store with as toddlers. definitely doesn't look real. to me at least.

the reverse looks to have been struck with a pitted die or more likely cast. They naturally sometimes look like this but that is a bit excessive so i have to call it not genuine.

I disagree. this is a genuine 1912 V nickel, minted in philidalphia. However, this is a very common coin, and is only worth around $0.75.

OK i see now but yes only worth pro baby 50 cents at best in this condition

If we're going to be handing out incorrect information in this group then the comments will be deleted. No reason to guess and tell someone their coin is fake when it is not, we all make mistakes but lack of experience should give on caution.

The coin in question IS genuine, it's been cleaned and worn and is a very common date for Liberty Nickels.
