Question regarding the US Civil War. Did the Confederate States produce any coins other that gold pieces from the N.O. Mint?

They made 4 Confederate half dollars and later 500 more were made as re-strikes where the REV of normal halves were removed and then the altered halves were over struck.

The NO mint also used some worn and discarded dies to mint some regular looking 1861-O halves:

I believe there are specific varieties with die cracks. There are three different varieties for the 1861 o half dollar. The union strike, the independent Louisiana strike, and finally the confederate striking. The dies where used until they were broken. Most confederate examples have very slight die cracks because of this. Remember at the time of the war, Philadelphia would not have sent out new does when old ones broke. As far as the confederate reverse half dollars they are very rare. Provided you have a confederate issue 1861 half dollar that is worth several hundred dollars easily in f+ condition. There is a reason why the confederacy stopped minting coins, the reason is it lost the city of new Orleans in early 1862. As far as I'm aware the minting of gold coins and Charlotte and Dahlonega stopped as soon as the mints were taken over. Leading to some very pricy "D" and "c" minted gold coins. All dahlonega and Charlotte coins are rare, with the rarest being the 1861 coins.
