2006 South Dakota quarter
This coin surprised me. It is in great BU condition ,but when I saw this pheasant with a [CHIP] on its shoulder, lol having a little ‘pun’ there it was really exciting .these quarters are so full of errors it amazes me. I cant help but go through at least 2 rolls and find something, not always one tho some have produced multiple coin finds. Oh yes and look how the 8’s are peeking at this error. The only thing better than those 8’s would be if all the presidents eyes were looking up at it. Enjoy.

Re: 2006 South Dakota quarter
IC, I am trying to find out where there is a comprehensive list of die errors for the varieties and errors, I find bits and pieces but nothing complete with pictures and of the identifying tell tales and such. I seem to just hunt and peck and occasionally find a reference to direct my searching . I have watched many hours of videos but so far not the right one . Could you direct me ? Most of the coins I will need to reference are newer since I coin roll and few older than 65’s in any denomination, except maybe pennies and nickels .

Small die chips in the lower portion of the 8's, and a much larger die chip on the bird....
These are not considered "Errors"

OK - you got me. I got a chuckle out of this one. :)Oh yes and look how the 8’s are peeking at this error.
Die chips can happen anyplace and be any size. So they generally won't bring a premium.
