Hey guys. So Dan did a good video the other day on storage and things that can hurt your coins. So for some sets I do use albums that have the plastic window strips that slide in and out. Sometimes those clear strips can get dirty from watever, fingers, age, orange juice spill, lol, etc....so Ive cleaned them usually with Windex or something. My question is, has anyone ever had an issue wirh residual cleaning chemicals doing any harm? Ive wondered about this and if it could do any extra harm. Its tough to get fingerprints nd stuff off with just water....prob not a big deal but was curious what yall thought...
Thanks!!!!
Hope yall havin a great weekend!!!!

JMO here.
I would have to think that any chemical within a close proximity of the coins surface, even at a very low "off-gassing rate", would have issues with a coins original surface.

Any chemical, including water, has the potential to tone your coin.

The plastic itself is not the problem but the cardboard touching the coin and the substance that can be on the slide. If you leave the slides alone then no issue.
