2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. Re: Trade Dollar Values Price Guide
cool: One of my Favorite Coins ever made !! I recently bought one of these on line though Ebay. Now I usually wouldn't buy one of these on Ebay because of the HIGH Percentage of FAKES out there . They are an extreme amount of Counterfeits out there coming out of the Asian Countries, so BUYER BEWARE !
Anyway, I did my best to gain the seller's trust . I checked him out as good as I could, I bought one that is 1878S Double Die Reverse graded by PCGS as "Cleaning-XF Details" . Being a Double Die, I felt it was Rare and that the Coin is in better shape than a XF, maybe a AU PLUS the Price was too hard to pass up on . I think I paid just a little over $200 . I felt it being a DDR and it having some nice toning, plus it possibly being closer to a AU that it was a good deal .
What do you think ? happydance:

I agree with you Sal, I think it was a good deal. Not only are they faked a lot, I believe that many were lost overseas when they were used for international trade. Also , many were melted down. These dollars are more rare than their present prices reflect. Nice coin!

I agree it was a good deal. I also believe the coin looks more AU50 than EF.
