Re: 2019 D Numerous Planchet Strike Errors?
Hi, first time submitting so I wrote everything out on first post but for to include these pictures and I lost that post so this is a 2019 D Shield Penny which is smooth and looks like a normal Penny. Weight is normal at 2.5g. The rim around it is right color and smooth as well. When i took picture to see it closer I discovered these errors so I said it looked like Graffiti. I would love to send this to auction for a collectors piece since I am not one. Also, I noticed it looked like rims of coins had gotten stuck and stacked like they fell over sideways on reverse Shield and a few more outlines obverse head, neck, etc. My daughter is who spotted the lettering on jacket as well as near neck I believe and what looks to be a U and V on left side of Lincoln's jacket so I am not sure what coins were minted in 2019 that might have those markings but it doesn't look like penny markings there. I might be wrong but the outlines of those coins on it look like a little bigger than penny size? Any ideas? Thank you.

Post mint, badly damaged. This doesn’t happen during the coin minting process.

I thought the same thing when I first saw it that is why I felt to make sure not rough or cut etc plus I weighed it then I enlarged and looked closer. If you do that then you will see since the coin looks, feels and is same size as normal penny. Look closer please. I had to.Takes a little more time to enlarge and see everything. It has Alot of mint markings on this piece and I read articles about this online just not this numerous. Ty

I have enough experience with coins and the minting process and handle coins for a living and this is a damaged coin. It’s not a mint error. You can create this on concrete with a hammer. I even did a video on this to show how it can be done.
This coin was on pavement and ran over a few times, before someone picked it up.

Re: 2019 D Numerous Planchet Strike Errors?
Welcome to the forum. We are glad you are here
Sorry, this is just post mint damage.
When people see a crack in a car's windshield, they don't automatically think the car came off of the assembly line that way.
Coins need to be approached in the same common sense way.
Until ebay shyster auctions and clickbait online videos were as ridiculously common as they are, most people didn't let excitement over possibly hitting a jackpot (not saying you specifically are) interfere with seeing coins the same was as they would the windshield mentioned above.
People have been sensitized by online shysters so that the idea of "Rare error coin," instead of "How was this coin damaged?" is very prevalent. Don't feel badly b/c you are not alone. We get a lot of people asking this kind of thing daily.
The reality is almost every odd looking coin is going to be PMD or something inconsequential to the coin hobby.
