1925 Canada small cent

#1 Unread post by NearG »

Hi

I have a 1925 Canada small cent that I am interested in its grade and condition.

One is going up for auction on 12/24 at HA and there are no images. I'm looking for some feedback on what this coin would grade and be worth to see if I might want to auction or sell it.

This is the rare one (1M struck) and I have similar shape coins 1928(2) 1929(3) 1931 (3) 1932(6) 1933(1) 1934 (2) 1935(1) 1936 (2). I have some earlier ones somewhere but I hid them from myself again lol. Thans in advance for any help.

Looks VF-35 to XF. Hypothetically it should bring in about $50 give or take.

Welcome to the forum. We are glad you are here :D

And this alos means it will cost more to get graded than you would get.

I believe, like many coming here, the internet has you thinking the grading companies are something they are not. A lot of people lose a lot of money b/c of that. See the PM I sent you concerning what you need to know about the companies so you don't lose money.
On the upper right of page is a link for private messages.

I certainly have enough slabs that the attributes are not labeled or there i a phantom wheel mark on a great coin that it makes me sick.

I believe that a coin could be measured, weighed and metallurgy applied and then even graded with a program that could create an NFT as evidence and ownershi. The author of said program could receive $1 for the original grade and nft and a 10c fee each time it waas subsequently sold forever. Amaon money. They would buy it in 10 seconds.

No, it shows it in CAD for me. Idk, in the Charlton book it's $50. Every time I see one of these at a shop or a show, it can be VG or XF and every single time it's $50 +/-$5
