1982 was in small date and large date. No one is error are just very common varieties of the year. Millions and millions was struck in the both varieties that go to a normal 1 cent.

silviosi is correct there is a 7 coin variety for this year, I have that plus the Proof "S" variety making it a 8 variety set.

I don't know what you are trying to show here. All you have to look at is the shape of the 2. No bend means large date.

Re: Lincoln Cent 1982 Small Date Errors
It’s not an error and it’s not large or small date, in reality, it’s just a different font style that was used. Your coin is normal and not a mint error.

If you mean you are going to try to sell this on eBay for 150.00, then you are taking advantage of people, and we do not condone that. If you are saying someone is selling one like this on eBay, then that person is taking advantage of people or just has no idea what he/she has, and he/she should not be trying to sell coins.

Re: Lincoln Cent 1982 Small Date Errors
The problem is that what you have is just a penny that has had a bit of damage from circulation. The numbers all were slightly flattened by some sort of impact in circulation. This is not an error of any kind. The misinformation of trying to sell a worthless penny (well...it is worth 1 cent) is what adds to the problem the hobby is so overrun with nowadays. The problem is people do not know what coin errors are and so a lot of people are being misinformed that the worthless stuff that an be found by anyone might be valuable. It wastes time for them and it certainly causes an overload of people on forums being disappointed when they find out they have nothing of value when they thought they had a rare error coin.
Please do not add to the giant problem of misinformation. And if you would sell this for more than 1 cent, then you would be taking advantage of people's ignorance even though you say do not want to and would provide the link.
Since you say you want to do this honestly, you can learn to identify REAL mint errors. Go to the bank, get a box of penny rolls. Sort them by date and mint mark. Then go to varietyvista.com and search each stack matching them with the pictures there. After awhile you will know what something collectable is.
However, if you think you can make money finding and selling rare coin errors...see the following link:

If you can sell this with 150, please let me know. I still have all varieties in official set (10x) and 2 rolls of each uncirculated. I am open for business.

Re: Lincoln Cent 1982 Small Date Errors
Your coin is NOT a mint error, there's nothing special about your coin. It is circulated and has toning and some mechanical doubling. You will not be able to sell this coin at ebay for profit unless you tell people it's something it's not.

Re: Lincoln Cent 1982 Small Date Errors
I've got plenty of 1982 large date cents. Circulation, removing clash marks, damage and die deterioration will cause the date or other details to appear a bit different but that is for ALL of them, it doesn't mean anything and it's not a $150 coin. It's hard to sell real mint errors of 1982 large date for $150. I can check ebay as well.
So here's some images, and I could do the same that you did with some of my coins. It's a shame we have to spend so much of our time debating you. It's such a waste of time, better spent on other members who are here willing to learn.

I am guessing you do not see exactly what Daniel is saying evidenced on your coins? Any differences you are seeing with your pictures are obviously as he stated.
