4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. 1982 penny maybe clipped planchet and T inside a mess
I have no idea what is going on with this penny. As far as the clip I do not see the weakness on the opposite side of the coin but I am so new to this that I could be missing it. Then I decided to look into what could have happened to the T in Trust well it is inside the whole. I have no idea what kind of error to look up on the error website for this. Any help? I sure do appreciate you guys and gals. For me being so new to this it really helps me learn.

this appears to be zinc rot, a form of PMD.

Re: 1982 penny maybe clipped planchet and T inside a mess
When the copper plating on a zinc cent was worn away/damaged in some way, the zinc core of the cent was exposed to oxygen and moisture, which reacts with zinc to make zinc oxide(the powdery white substance) and the coin literally gradually crumbles over time.

How does the T get inside the hole? Does it just grow the copper arount it? It is totally black and I can see the T. Does it turn white then rot away?

I agree. PMD and
Common grading company shortcomings & resulting co$tly mi$take$ to collectors (using Kennedy No FG halves):
