1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). Our community is not a soap box for complaining or drama, so please refrain from doing so here.[/size]

1906 IHP toning
I have a beautiful 1906 Indian Head penny. My question is, has it been cleaned or is the toning natural?
Thanks for looking.

Please take the time to read the rules for posting to this forum. One of them says we cannot have the coin inside a holder (glare). Reviewing the rules will mean we don't have to waste your time asking for better information and we will be able to answer you sooner. Thanks

Here are a couple pics out of the flip. My coin photography skills aren't the greatest, but I hope these are good enough.

Taken photos of the coin you want to show someone is kind of frustrating. Everyone at one time or another will get fed-up being told it is to dark, or to bright, out of focus etc...Earle42 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 14, 2022 6:26 pm An easy way to take coin photos:

Don't give up on it. The thread Earl posted for you, gives you a great starting place. Just take some photos of the coin you want to post, then open them up in the photo editor you feel comfortable using. Look at them with a subjective eye. Keep on doing this until you get what you think is needed. Oh, one last thing, crop the photos off the full Obverse and Reverse [Always post a full photo of the CROPED obverse and reverse] no matter the condition of the coin. You should also post 1-4 photos of the area in question. Anything over this is basically a waste.
