1861 Dime - Die Crack or Post-Mint Damage?

#1 Unread post by jfdimes »

Hi,

This is probably wishful thinking on my part but could the damage on this otherwise nice coin be a die crack? Or is it simply someone's failed attempt at jewelry making?

The rim does not seem to be bent or warped from a side-view (not shown).

I apologize for the picture quality.

Thanks,
Jon

I do not see a die crack in your latest images, but I do see damage to the edge of the coin

Die cracks don't add value to your coin.
