1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). Our community is not a soap box for complaining or drama, so please refrain from doing so here.[/size]

Evenin' Everyone
I am from Sacramento, California USA and have recently begun to take an interest in finding out about this coin hobby. I am AMAZED at how much there is to learn and so grateful to those who are willling to share their knowledge to us newbees. I've looked over Wexler's website and watched the Coin HelpU YouTube channel. I recently joined another coin community, too. At the moment, I'm a bit overwhelmed by kinda understanding the things I've been seeing and reading, but seems so much of this stuff just takes quite some time to really learn what it is you are seeing. We have a coin show coming up in my area later this month. I want to go see what it's like. I think I saw they said you can have your coins graded for free. Maybe wishful thinking eh? So I look forward to seeing what others are interested in and what they have along their coin journeys.

Re: Evenin' Everyone
Thanks for the welcome! Flyer says “free appraisals” either before or after “buy, sell, trade.” So I guess grading and certification are different than appraisals? And would helping distinguish between a damaged coin, error coin or a fraud coin fall under appraisal? Sorry if this is too many questions in one reply! I’m sure I will find out at the show!

That way the content will be under an appropriate title you supply and others can use the answers you get when they have a similar question.
