Looking at the Close-up , I conclude that this coin has been cleaned . You can see the abrasive surface up close .

Hey Sal, yeah unfortunately for K there is something really funky going on there. Maybe FunkyStrike had it before K did.

Re: 1966 Washington quarter
Please look up Daniel's videos on whether or not to send coins in. If you just want to do it for fun, then no big deal at sending in a coin, but unless you have vast experience in graded coins and understanding how the companies work, you will almost assuredly end up losing money.Alright I just want opinions, so...I feel that if I should grade this, I would be on pins and needles the whole time it was away. I mean, this is my best looking coin. What do u guys think?
A lot of people think its all about finding shiny coin, sending it in to get put in a slab, selling it on eBay and retiring (not really retiring, but you get the idea). Its not this easy. Its not even close to this easy.
Another thing is when people send in items (you were smart enough to ask first ) without knowing what its about, those people, as you said, "sit on pins and needles." Yet they repeatedly end up very discouraged b/c they keep getting face value coins back in plastic slabs (and the slabs cost way more than the coin inside is worth).
Common grading company shortcomings & resulting co$tly mi$take$ to collectors (using Kennedy No FG halves):
