Hi Daniel and Everyone,
My Father had left me a few coins but I found two buffalo nickels with heir dates missing from the both of them. I tried the vinegar and hydrogen peroxide trick but that didn't work either.
I cant understand the logic of some people on eBay that post some of these coins with insane prices when they haven't gotten them graded or made the slightest effort to find their dates.
Can someone help me with possibly finding the dates on these coins? Are they a error or just worn away?
Thank you kindly
(Newbie Coin Collector) Buffalo Nickels w/ Missing Dates

Dateless buffalo nickels are not worth acid dating. You can buy nic a date online if you want to know the date but I don't even bother. Even key dates are worth substantially less when acid dated.

Awhile ago there was a guy restoring buffalo nickels using PCB board etchant and other chemicals. He was selling them on eBay as "Restored" buffalo nickles and the key date prices, if I am remembering right, were selling for better than just junk. It got to the point on another forum where people were asking all sorts of questions about his work and collecting them etc. I googled "restored buffalo nickels" and could not get the link to what I believe was his website to work.
