Unknown Coins; country of origin

#1 Unread post by bhightower »

I am trying to ID the country of origin on my cuff links. Can anyone please help me id these coins? If you have the size, such as Ducat, or Pound, I would also appreciate your help. This is a big mystery. I am a novice.

Thank you for your response. It looks as if it is from a Hindu nation, doesn't it?

Yet the facial features of the woman are more Maylasian, or African? Thank you for helping me solve this mystery.

Here you go:
Thailand 600 Baht.

And now the homework starts b/c you should see if these are legit or copies. And don't get excited prematurely 😊

Here is one for sale on eBay. An MS65 PCGS slabbed one sold for 1300.00 on eBay.

Yours might be (gold plated?) copies made into jewelry. Or I suppose they could be legit. It would be an expensive set of jewelry if actual gold coins. It will take some online research about these to make a decent assessment.

Here is a good place to start:
numista 600 baht
Common grading company shortcomings & resulting co$tly mi$take$ to collectors (using Kennedy No FG halves):
