3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. 2020D Lincoln Varieties?
I enjoy the hobby, but am not by a long shot considered to know what I am talking about. I recently ran across a bunch of 2020D Lincolns while searching a bunch of pennies. Am I seeing things, or just confused? See the attached photo. It looks to me like there are two varieties - look at the 2s. Much like the 1982 Lincolns, the 2s seem to be different - one with a straight shaft and the other curved. And, are the digits different sizes?[attachment=0]Double dated 2020s.

Thanks for your feedback. I am relatively new but enjoy picking out oddities. I have a few cuds, machine doubles, and poorly minted errors. I do not know how to research something like the possible varieties for the 2020D Lincolns. I looked at some of the 2020 Lincolns from Philadelphia, and have not detected any variations.

That is interesting. Thank you for the guidance and information. Do you know which version was the original design and which was the "deformed" version?

Die deterioration is not a different design it is a die stage and state and is very common and normal on coins.
