Introducing myself

#1 Unread post by ErikaDunkelheit »

Hi everyone!
My name is Erika, i m Italian, 39 years old and moved in Arizona 3 years ago.
I 've been in the world of modellism and collectors since I was 16 as soldiers and figurines painter. I was part of a club and always been fascinated by numismatics and coins collectors with their massive holders for rarities, mistakes and interesting stories. Hours and hours of studying, researching and digging in the smallest details.
Basically is the same approach for painting soldiers, achieving the historical/chronological perfection in their uniforms and weapons... (my ocd side was so happy! LOL) But never went further than admire those collections and listen to their explanations...
Few months ago a friend of mine asked me if I was able to get some infos and eventually the value of a serie of Walking Liberty half dollars...
And there everything started. Welcome to the double dies, missing mint marks and proof errors world! :)
Totally disregarding the coins shortage is going on, I try to get more change as I can, using bills to pay at the shops and even asking if I can change one dollar bill in coins. Just to come back home and as a child start to classify the possible little treasures of the day.
I M even reconsidering to change my job with panhandling... O_o
