2005 Doubling Around Ear??

#1 Unread post by DSCoins »

I may be seeing things, or as Paul normally says "I'm trying to hard". I have held this coin back until I finished my third box of cents (pennies) after finding it, to have a well rounded number of other 2005 to compare it to. I can see what to me looks like extra hair around the bottom of the Ear (please note this was found using a 10X loop). Photos via Cell Pone. I hope they are good enough.

As always all comments Good, Bad, Indifferent or Trying to hard welcome.

Daniel it is not the Ear itself that I see doubling, but with the hair coming further below the ear than normal. I maybe just seeing thing. So if you don't think it is, I will go with that.

Does your close-up imaging device have a measurement function?

....... if you measure this ? ....... how small is it?
Would you consider it inconsequential?
How much would you pay for this coin, with that itty bitty whatever?
...... are you still trying to hard?

No it does not. I just take the photos with my cell phone and then just crop the area I am talking about to give me the "close up" photo. Is there anything you could recommend to be able to take the close up photos and have a way to measure?

I echo this…
If I have to dig or grab at straws… I put that coin away and move on lol. any coin that’s going to be highly desirable or rare will most certainly not have to be studied. Once I gave up digging … I found that searching coins was highly interesting and enjoyable .
