Presidential Gold Dollar G. Cleveland
There is pretty dramatic stamping along the rim that appear uniform in placement and strength
It's unique as far as I could make out
Any ideas are very appreciated
Thanks and cheers~

After mint mechanical damage, something used to seal packages clamped on to this coin.

TY,
I was having the same thought is Daniel, very possible "Conveyor, Counter, Packing Sealer,...?..... " rim damage.
Trying to use an Internet image here to nail down the exact source/kind of damage it is, ..... I don't believe is possible.

Someone with the knowledge of the coining process would need to see this firsthand.

Thanks for taking the time, Yeah it's a strange one.
I couldn't imagine what in the minting process could cause this except maybe the retaining collar breaking.
Doesn't add up though, it'd be more of a mangled mess
Thought it was interesting and maybe someone here would have seen something like it
Might be worth looking into further
Thanks again for offering your experience to people

My first thought seeing the picture was the rim met these (at an angle):
