Hello, I am new to coin roll hunting and errors identification. I do try to find things on my own, but at times am at a loss of how to key word search a flaw on a coin to determine if it is worth selling or better how to list it to see if someone would buy the coin. I have many put it a side, but for now here is one that the L in liberty is pushed to the edge. Is there a name for this as the "BIE" is as close as I find but doesn't seem accurate. Thank you for your feedback.

1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. Re: Lincoln Cent 1950-D (L - Liberty)
This is Not a BIE error . The L is damaged .
The BIE error is named after a die break between the B and E in LIBERTY. The thin area between the B and E seems to be the most frequent part of a Lincoln cent die to crack off. The letter "I" that appears to be between the B and E is reason that the error is called the "BIE" error.

Welcome
Your coin exhibits "Circulation Wear",....... which in turn, will make the "L" look like it's on the edge of the coin.
The "BIE" errors that you see, are not a "Die Break", but are the result of a "Die Chip".

Re: Lincoln Cent 1950-D (L - Liberty)
Welcome :)
Many people come here who enjoy searching coins, but have no knowledge of what they are looking for. They find an anomaly and automatically think it is a minting error b/c they are looking for...errors. We have all been there starting out
Spending time at the above helps a person know what to look for and identify things that are not errors/varieties, but damage, grease filled dies, etc.
To save you time and effort in the end, if you spend quality time at error-ref.com, you will then be able to identify what collectable coins errors are.I do try to find things on my own, but at times am at a loss of how to key word search a flaw on a coin to determine if it is worth selling
