4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. They look like a Wet Ink transfer Error . I would have to examine them "In Hand" to tell what you have . I have 2 of these ( Front on back and Back on front like yours). There are fakes out there. So beware . They look very good though .
Wet ink transfers happen when, in error, a sheet of currency paper does not enter the press, the inked printing plate will contact the impression cylinder. When the next and subsequent sheets enter the press, they receive both the intended printing on the correct side and an impression on the opposite side from the ink left on the cylinder.

Do these bills feel as if they may have absorbed some type of oily liquid?

These are not a wet ink transfer.....
Most likely, they were exposed to some type of clear based oil, like vegetable oil?
May I ask where you found them?

Change from Walgreens I don’t think that they have had oil spilled on them. It’s not like thatPaul wrote: ↑Wed Apr 28, 2021 7:58 pmThese are not a wet ink transfer.....

I had a "Thought"..... Yeah yeah yeah I know...
If you put the bill in a "Paper Towel Sandwich", place it on the counter, and put a book on top of it… When you look at in the few hours, is there any substance on the paper towels?
