2-1955 ddo

#1 Unread post by muzzman »

I hope you all don't mind me posting many coins. I was given a 5 gallon bucket that was about 4 inches deep of coins and tokens. I would like to know if going through all them coins and tokens was worth it. My last coin that I will be posting didn't come from the bucket.

WOW!

They are BOTH DDO's! One of them is a Off-Center Strike . . .

EDIT: But then again, 1955 DDOs are faked easily . . .

These more than likely are Chinese products and available online. We have seen the off center one here on this forum before.

Your pictures make the word LIBERTY look all wrong when compared to closeups of pics of original PCGS 1955 DDOs. The word Liberty appear wrong when compared to PCGS slabbed pics. "Wrong" meaning some of the letters that appear the most prominent should not be. Such as on your letter Y. The one highest on the your coin is prominent, but on an original, the lower one is. The Ts are not in proper alignment etc.

Hmmm...Muzzman, you have posts concerning two Chinese 55 DDOs with one aged to look "better," two Chinese 1916-D dimes both aged to look better, and one alleged 1974 aluminum cent.

Whoever gave you the bucket liked Esty or Ali Baba. Any more potential "rarities" in the bucket will likely be the same Chinese source.

I agree with earle here and in addition you've got to know where you got these coins from and that they can't be authentic.

Seems like Etsy has been well represented in these forums.
