1946S Walking Liberty 50C ERRor ?

#1 Unread post by SensibleSal66 »

Ok, hey all. Me again. So, I have this graded coin in MS64 and I noticed this anomaly above the top of its wing which is raised some not recessed . It may be minor but what is it. This was graded between 1986-1989 according to PCGS holder guide. Thanks for viewing. Be safe.

Sal, what is it you are seeing? Is it what looks like a darker area above the wing?

A tiny anomaly pointing down towards the Birds head . Hard to see in pic. Better in person, as usual . lol

I would guess it's either a contact or a minting defect (maybe a little piece of Hiroshima got caught in the die during pressing)
