Thanks Paul. Very informative and the guy doing the XRF testing is fairly close.
I'm going to guess they get even more shifty with their production once they have analized this article.

Sure they do.
And of course any time you post online images of the imperfections on the counterfeits, those get corrected also.
:eureka:
REMEMBER, this is about GREED!

Thanks for sharing the article. What I don't get, is why the feds aren't trying to stop it. If one of us tried this, we'd end up in a federal pen. Hey, lets get Trump to write something into the trade bill. :patriot:

Secret Service has no authority to break up counterfeiters in foreign countries, especially when that country allows it.

........ and, keep in mind that there are places within the United States, that our government has no authority on......
I'm sure if you think about it you'll figure it out.

Re: China Invades the World of Error Coin Fakes
Seriously? :patriot: also, very proud!!!
(I don't want to offend anyone, but I can't let this pass. I'll go sit in the corner if need be.) whistling2:
My gotcoins:
Please don't get me going on president #45 and tariffs, speaking of greed. IMHO, anyone filing bankruptcy 4 times has taken a lot of good people/companies down with them and is an indication of very poor decision making, lies and greed which have been confirmed in the last 2-1/2 years.
And speaking of tariffs, I'm sure he and his rich buddies are benefiting at the expense of farmers (in spite of the $4 billion "Campaign Repair" program passed to offset the damage done by the tariffs.) Is everyone ready for Trump's recession? It will probably be here before the election, unless he starts a war to "stimulate" the economy.
You might be able to tell I'm not a fan and my apologies if "trade bill" was meant as a "funny".
(Done and hope to never comment again on him.)

Pete,
I wasn't making a political statement.
It wouldn't make a difference to me what number president it was, I was just stating that if there was some type of trade bill, they could have in it that China should crack down on their counterfeiters and search their shipments better, as should we with the arrival of their shipments. I should have explained more clearly. These fakes upset me for the hobby's sake, as much as it does everyone else. Peace!!!

Re: China Invades the World of Error Coin Fakes
My apologies for getting riled up at the mere mention of his name.
You are right of course that something needs to be done about the counterfeits and a big part of that boils down to money and greed as Paul stated. Unfortunately addressing the production of counterfeit collectable coins will probably have to be lumped in with other items as they probably don't cause a blip on anyone's screen (like counterfeiting currency).
