2003 Lincoln Penny Third eye?

#1 Unread post by Aaugust14 »

I got this coin in change and thought it was interesting looking. Especially with all the tiny bubbles on the reverse. There is doubling on the columns but Lincoln seems to have acquired a third eye, horned chin and what looks like Spock’s ears 🤷‍♀️. They had a hard time with LIBERTY as well!

Are you familiar with plating bubbles?

They are not as prominent now as when the plated cents first came out.

I am new to error coins there is a lot to learn and I am trying to read everything. However I don’t remember everything. I do remember playing bubbling vaguely but that was a while ago
