1989 D LMC doubled ear variety? New discovery?

#1 Unread post by ILIKELMC'S »

Please help. Has anyone ever seen or heard of an 89' doubled ear Lincoln cent variety, or recognize this coin? Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

Check out this PCGS LINK for 1989D.

I think it will help answer your question. The "split" ear lobe seems to be part of the design this year (and others).

These images that you have posted are very difficult to use for attribution.

Are these posted pictures snapshots of your computer screen?

Have you tried viewing this coin with lighting from different directions?
