Buffalo Nickel

Hello,

I'm curious about this coin that I found in my mother's collection. I was focused on the nickels with the D, S, and P when I noticed the Buffalo nicked without the five cents on the back. Then I noticed the same markings on the front of the coin around a small part of the rim. The rim also appears to be thicker and a bit misshapen around the head. There's also a different marking around the other side of the rim on the front. Looks like the hair ran over onto the rim. I know it takes away from the value if there is no date. Probably no value at all if there is no date. Maybe something on the die that caused the weird design that obliterated the five cents on the back? There's also an indent on the back that looks like a half circle.

This is damage to the coin, looks like a vice job with another coin sandwiched together and there's a lot of wear which causes the coin's design to become worn and meld together.
