1983 cent weighs 2.5 grams. What is this?

Normal Zinc cent, it may be slightly heavier.

Bi-color? That's not normal. I'm thinking the coin was resting at an angle in water or some liquid?

It is a normal 1983 circulated zinc cent with some staining, and or environmental damage.
