Please don't flame me for a quick lazy photo on my cell phone. This one has been in a 2x2 for about 30 years and don't really want to bust it out for a photo op.

@JTCC, I notice those little lines on one side of your blank planchet also. My blank has these, I assume that is a normal thing?

The lines around the outer edge of the coin, are most likely due to the "Upsetting Mill"

I've yet to find one, even though I did crack open a Nickel roll today, the oldest is sadly a 1964 & 1964-D.

Well...I didn't actually "request" this. You asked for options of what could be made into threads and I gave you ideas. 😊

Now, how about the one I made for coins with effigies of Daniel?

And sorry...mine are in storage or I would post them.😒

I believe I have cent, nickel, and quarter.

Very cool, had to google that phrase to learn it, thank you. I was referring to JTCC's 2nd photo though, there appear to be little striations going across the face of the blank planchet. I assume these are there just from when they cut out the sheets of metal before the coins get punched out of that?

Possible roller marks?

from what I seen and heard on other posts, very possible. was thinking before when a coin has lines on it then it was a alloy mixing issue, but apprently when coins only had lines on one side, it's likely roller marks. but hey, you learn something new everyday right? especially in coins!
