2021 S Morgan Dollar error on Liberty's neck?

#1 Unread post by finalfantasy »

So before I begin, I received both my Denver and San Francisco mint Morgan dollars. The Denver mint ones were packaged very well in the display box whereas the San Francisco mint Morgan dollars were loose in the display box. So I found one with something irregular on Liberty's neck. Is this an error or Post Mint Damage (thanks to not being secured in the packaging)? Your thoughts, CoinHelp Community? Do I need better pictures?

I can't even see the coin, the images are too blurry, but I wouldn't worry about minor stuff on these coins, it's going to happen. It's not going to add value.

Is this better? It almost looks like Liberty has the beginning of an Adam's apple but maybe I'm just seeing things.

It's too minor to worry about, unless more are found and an experts comes up with a fancy name.

I would LOL if this turns out to be a real error for San Francisco mint. The Trannie Morgan dollar :D I'm still a bit upset by the handling of their packages though.

And I am willing to bet once everyone gets there's there will be several on ebay with minor anomalies, being touted as worthy mint errors, to sell for more money.

I still think I'm just going to wait till I get them all and then send them off to be graded still waiting on the Philly and Peace dollar. My CC and O Morgan dollars are coming soon.

Here's an example of a Denver I just received. Go figure. Damage shown is as received. I am returning it.
