1979 Kennedy half dollar 11.5 weight

#1 Unread post by tkNorris98 »

It's silly to post pictures as it's just a circulated 1979 Kennedy. 50 cent piece, but I haven't found anything on why it would weigh 11.48. Can someone help and let me know if this is a special coin?
Thanks everyone!

I used to coin roll hunt through half dollars often, sometimes you may find a "magicians coin" that are hollow and usually is a random foreign coin stuffed inside that can alter the weight a lot. Not sure if this is helpful, just a wee noob still here =)

Coins don't have to weigh exact, there can be a variance that is within mint specifications.
