Please Read Before Posting A Topic

In the title please put date, denomination and type of coin design and a brief on what you are asking about.
In example: "1995 Lincoln Cent Missing 5" or "2010 Roosevelt Dime With a Line inside the rim".

All of this helps discern the different topics from each other and is much less confusing to members who want to help.
Topic titles like "how did this happen" or "help" often get ignored and lost in the confusion.

Also if you're having trouble posting an image then here's our guide for that. How To Post Images

2020D Salt River Bay Quarter

#1 Unread post by frankj »

Wanted to know what would cause this bubble look and streaks on this coin. I did a lot of looking and found the closes I think it looks like on Error-Ref as being cold metal flow from
Die Deterioration. I wanted to get your opinions if this is what it is.

Again, I disagree. This is not Die Deterioration Doubling!
The "Radial" lines that you see upon the surface, are common die wear, from late die state strikes.

The watermark blurs the details when I zoom in on the picture. Still just seeing late die state characteristics.

That's what you're supposed to be looking at.

Well, yes Paul. I was just testing you to see if you were awake or not.

Yeah..uh huh. Anyone believing THAT is about as "with it" as someone who was installed by cheating last Nov....never mind.

Actually...Thanks Paul for the wake up! 👍🏻
