1950 lincoln penny 0 over S?

So was going through pennies about to give all the excess away and found this perculiar coin. Is that a S mintmark in the 0? should I soak see what happens to inner part of 0?

No it is not it's a contact mark and that should always be your first line of thought, how this happened after mint and not jump to impossible scenarios. Understanding the minting process and just too important to ignore when searching for mint errors.

AS has been suggested, if you study the minting process and how mint marks are applied, it will save you in the ling run b/c you will be able to ID things like this (and many others) readily😊
