1997-D RPM part 2

#1 Unread post by waynesonofpeter »

The coin weighs 35 grains (2.272727273 grams) and is approximately 1.75 Cm's. The MM has an anomaly of a sort. I can take a higher magnification picture. ( A better explanation of the coin?) Also E pluribus unum seems to have mechanical

Again Mint marks for this year were placed on the Master Hub thus no RPMs. Along with that you do not show a photo of the Mint Mark as in 1997 they were on the Obverse of the coin. You really need to take some time to learn how Hubs/Dies are made and study Error-ref

Why are you always (as of late) posting a part A (1) and part B (2)? If it the same coin then you need to post it in one Topic. If they are two separate coins then create a new subject line not a part 1 (A) and part 2 (B). Right now I have no clue as to what is what on these posts two Topics (same coin different coin E.T.C.). Along with that you need to cut down on the number of photos you post. This topic "Part A" has photo 5 photos that are duplicates (two copies of one and three copies of another. Then in Part 2 you do the same thing (two copies of one photo and three copies of another. You are causing yourself way to much work. You should be able to post no more than about 5 photos per individual Topics.

I 100% agree with the previous statement....

...... and I believe you should put your microscope away.

...meaning until you are familiar with actual errors, a microscope is high enough magnification it is going to be showing you all sorts of things that are common and not collected. We have a lot of people come here with the same issue. Higher magnification is not a good way to start out as it gives a LOT of "false starts" until people are familiar with what actual errors look like. Error-ref.com will stop a lot of these false starts and disappointments.

BTW ...confirming your machine doubling assessment. :)
