1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.

2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.

3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.

4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.

5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.

6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.

7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. Help with this dime...

#1 Unread post by vince_erhart »

Hello everyone and good day... I'm new at this hobby and probably gonna give it up. I would like some opinions on this dime if possible. I found this in some pocket change and Thought it was strange looking. Seems that the rim is high on both sides of the coin and its got that faded look all the way around. I believe it says 2016. Took pics with my camera so its not as clear as I would like.. thank you in advance for your much anticipated replies.. Vince E.

Welcome

Below is for your knowledge and not crissum

I'm not sure why you are posting two or three different Dimes while only asking about a 2014? This just causes a lot of confusion on what you want people to look at and comment on.

Please be advised that the rule for posting coins is one coin per-topic. You do not need to post coin to be compared, as those who are giving their opinion know what the coin should or should not look like.
When posting photos of a coin you would like someone to look at, you should post a photo of both the full Obverse and Reverse. Try to take these photos as clear and close as possible. It would be extremely helpful if you would crop these photos. Next take some photos of the area in question again as close and clear as possible. It would also help if you could find some way to point to the area in question or give a detailed explanation of what you want to be looked at. If you need a photo editing program, there are three free ones that come to mind. They are PhotoScape, Inkscape and Gimp. Of the three PhotoScape is the easiest to use. Daniel explains quite well in the following topics, posting photos plus Daniels Video on posting coins
