2020 Dollar bill ink problem in sealed Founding Fathers set

#1 Unread post by yankee33 »

Hi, I managed to be one of the people that purchased the 2020 US Mint Founding Fathers Currency Set. It released 2/13 and quickly sold out its limit of 8000. I received mine and when I looked at it, the $1 has an ink roll printed along the side of the portrait of Washington. At first glance I thought it was a smear on the outside of the plastic seal, but with a magnifying glass, it's clearly printed on the paper. (I haven't even touched the plastic) Curious if this is considered an error. Or worth having it graded considering it's still sealed from the US Mint. Thanks for any thoughts or advice.

Very common and minor, does not add any value.

Thanks! Wasn't sure how common that is.
