1942/41 D Dime - Does it look legit?

#1 Unread post by Funky Strike »

Funkmeister back again from a hunt - I found two 1942 Dimes that I THINK (I know - first mistake...) may be a 1942/41

The "D" is the best looking of the two - I'll post the "P" later

Tell me what you think - I see something - but I'm not sure if it's the true Doubled 42/41

As always - Thank You so much for looking at my coin!

I would need much better images to give full attribution here.....

Funny, … I am currently looking for the 42/1 for each of the P & D

Funkmeister back on this one!

I got this one back from PCGS today as well as the 1917 DDO - It's a tough one to see which is why it was hard to see on my crappy pics (I've gotten better) 😉

But again - Daniel's video and the advice from you guys here helped me figure out how to look for these coins and here is a VG10 42/21 D Mercury Dime!

Now back to the Hunt!

Funkmeister, congrats, well done.😉 It's exhilarating finding this stuff in the wild, it really is a treat. I have had some friends in my other business ask me how do I offset the risk, I always say, "it's not about the bag, its about the hunt", of course they shake their heads, but who cares it's fun, and a great hobby/second income.
