1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). Our community is not a soap box for complaining or drama, so please refrain from doing so here.[/size]

Hey M, I don't even know if it is something, you may have to send it in to CONECA to get a verification, really hard to tell from photos. As far as value, go on Heritage and search the 500 past sales of '62 nickels and see if you can find one that sold. Or wait for Paul, or both.

MMMMMMMMMMM, this is a difficult one to attribute with images....
Keep in mind that Jefferson Nickel doubled dies, a majority of them, show a very fine spread......
..... I can't give you a 100% here, sorry, this specimen is a little bit beat up and shows a lot of later stage die wear as well as a significant amount of surface contact wear....... and also remember, "Condition" of the coin in question on these minor varieties, .....is where all of the value comes from.
For your example here, I would hold off on submitting this to any
"Grading Company"...... as the attribution, slabbing, and shipping fees would most likely be worth more than the value of the coin itself.

Hey M, what Paul said is what I figured. The probabilities are not on your side on this, it really is beat up and really low probability of even identifying and attributing let alone getting an AU or MS grade. Just to emphasize what Paul said here, and what Daniel has said on other threads and in videos, the condition and grade play a large part in giving value to ANY error. Generally, if you have MS 60 or better you are already ahead. It is obvious why, an uncirculated coin allows you to see the error without using a S.E.M.
So really look for the best uncirculated coins, and then specific errors/varieties. Unless you are just enjoying the journey, what Daniel has said about being a bit more productive in searching really makes sense.
