1958 D penny, doubling???

#1 Unread post by Scpeyton31 »

Hello,

I was looking through some more 1958 pennies and found what looks like doubling around "In God We Trust." It was the only place on the coin that I saw the doubling. I couldn't tell if it was for deteriation or not.

I would appreciate your thoughts.

I took the best pics I could using a microscope. None of them look really clear, but I think it's because of doubling or deterioration.

It's more evident on "In God" and "We" and lessens quickly on "Trust"

I don't see a doubled die. It is best to look up the listings at Wexlers doubleddie.com and try to find a match and study what doubled dies look like.
