There is too much about this coin that I, as a newbie, need clarified. It has been sitting in a Wayte Raymond album for forever as best as I know since it is part of a modest collection I acquired from a deceased family member.
I was first attracted to its toning, so looked closer.
Question 1: Am I right to think this coin has been cleaned? There are scratches that move across almost the whole coin on the obverse.
Question 2: On the obverse, at lower hair, it really looks to me like a chunk of metal was missing from the planchet. Or is it damage?
Question 3: There are many more divots on the reverse. I suspect just damage on most all, but weirdest of all to me is the one on the left side of shield. What should be the pointed turn on the left middle of shield is all wonky, rounded, and shifted over. Can a coin really get smacked hard enough for a device to shift like that? (Yes Daniel, I am trying to imagine how I could recreate that in my garage!)
Lastly, is there any value to this coin at all in this condition?
Thanks all.
(Lots of pictures here and I'm sorry if they are rotated - they are right-side-up on my PC.)

Looking at your images you have posted here:
Q1: I can't determine if this coin is considered "Cleaned" from your images, although in its current condition, I don't believe that matters
Q2: Damage
