1820-1840 belt buckle

#1 Unread post by mort65 »

I just wanted to share this with everyone, I was not even using a metal detector. I found an old homestead foundation in the woods of a piece of family property, so I started poking around, I found square nails horse shoes, wagon parts, hinges, door lock, Things like that, then I found the buckle. What a find. I soaked it in hot soapy water and brush it with a soft brush,I have removed a lot of the dirt and weathering from being burried for so long.
