Weird weight lol

#1 Unread post by Tomcat0424 »

I found this Delaware quarter in coin star tray the other day, it very different from my other quarters. Now I think it might be a silver. It's the same color or shade as my silver coins. I have pic of the coin on the scale.

I agree, show all sides . I believe it's just an average quarter .

Images are not going to help, the weight is the key here, so I suggest sending this or taking it to someone who can test the coin's metal content.

An impaired silver proof is possible. Although the pics are fuzzy, the one pic does make (the OBV) look to be very well struck as a proof would be.

Thank you for your help. Mr. Paul the mint mark is a p. Also the scale has the weight inside so it can be calibrated. When I first checked it, I thought it was the scale being off. So I set it up and put the weight on it said 50.0 Then hit button 0.0 weighed again.

I see an S, which is why I suggested an impaired silver proof.

I'm sorry I missed the mint mark. My daughter took her life yesterday and I have been dealing with that. Not thinking to clearly.

Thank you for your concern. The worst part of the whole thing was having to go and identify her. That's a image I can not get out of my head. Talk to your daughter as much as you can make sure you let her know how much you love her. That's where I feel like I failed. But I do thank you so much.

I am sorry to hear about your daughter, but what she did isn't your fault.
