I just saw this coin while searching ebay for Morgan Dollars. It is advertised as """P.L.1884 Morgan Silver Dollar. Gorgeous Toning. Very reflective, Amazing Coin!""". To me it looks like someone placed the coin in a sealed container with a hard boiled egg yolk, and put on a light application of gun bluing. Any thoughts??

I would NOT buy it, unless it was proven by PCGS or NGC . . .

I agree with both of them. To easy to make a coin photo look any way they want. Like they said unless slabbed stay away.

Re: Questionable Toning?
It is hard to believe that there may be such a glint on the original coin. It would be nice to see evidence that backs up the authenticity.
