I can't find any specs on the plastic used for the window slips on albums like the Dansco 7070 and Whitman 3688 or similar albums that show both the obverse and reverse.
As I add more and more valuable coins to my type collection I don't want to store raw coins anywhere they might get damaged but very much want to enjoy them in an album setting.
Also, has anyone encountered the slips scratching the coins as you add or replace coins in a row?
Thank you in advance for your time and input.

Re: Albums with plastic slips
I took this from coinsupplyexpress.com
"The Pages – Loose-leaf hinged pages that are plastic coated and washable. Each page has coin ports that hold coins between acetate slides that both protect and display both sides of your collection...pushing the top slide to the right edge of the page, inserting your coin and sliding the acetate sheet back in place..."
I only have a few coins types that i collect and would normally only keep common date and low grade coins in binders.
Have yet to notice any scratches on coins that I do place in the slots though. Hope this helps.

Re: Albums with plastic slips
Yes, the acetate slides can scratch coins if/when tiny dirt particles get trapped inside. For people constantly upgrading the coins in their albums, this can be a problem unless they are aware of it and take care when moving the slides.
Another thing to be careful of is the cardboard in contact with the coins can absorb humidity and, over time, alter MS condition coins including making them tarnish (oops - using the numismatic market correct term:"toned").
For this reason I put any MS coins in Air Tite capsules - which are a pain to store. The 2X2 holders in three ring binder pages are generally a good way to store coins in MS condition, but larger dollar coins are big enough that the holders can have gaps allowing dirt or humidity in easier than smaller denominations.

Common grading company shortcomings & resulting co$tly mi$take$ to collectors (using Kennedy No FG halves):
