BU Morgans question...

#1 Unread post by typeviic »

If I send them to get graded/slabbed for their condition rarity, which company should I use? PCGS, ANACS, NGC? The reason I ask is that I have heard that "the market" of dealers/buyers does not recognize ANACS as well as the other two.

thanks....

If you want the privilege of submitting coins directly to a TPG without having to pay a member subscription fee, ANACS would be the choice unless you have coins of a nature that have a stronger market position in a PCGS or NGC holder. Then it is more economical to join the collector clubs that each of the latter 2 TPG's require for direct submission privileges. The only other option to submit to PCGS/NGC is to use a coin dealer authorized by these two companies, or to have an A.N.A.membership for direct submission to NGC.
