#1 Unread post by Daniel »

359 subscribers and when I reach 400 I will have another contest.

I just released my latest video on if you should get your coin graded. It's a subject that needs more videos but this touches on the basics of this subject.

Hi Daniel, I like your video on the subject. Here are my comments. I have not submitted any coin for grading and beside my coins were mostly from the low end that is not worth it. I believe having your coin graded is a personal choice. When I see a coin I like and can afford it I never ask for the grade of the coin. I look at the coin and if in my perspective I find it beautiful I get it. I have never sold a coin not a single one. And in the event I will sell, the worth of my coins is really what the buyer is willing to pay - graded or ungraded.
I have read many articles concerning grading companies re improperly labeled, wrong grades, improperly attributed varieties, etc. Through their brilliant marketing strategies, these companies were able to establish a trend and are making tremendous profit from it.
Now lets do a little math on this. (please correct my computation if I am wrong) One company openly advertise that todate they have certified 40,335,000. THAT IS IN MILLION! Said company was established in 1985 or 33 years in existence or a total number of 12,045 days. Assume that the company grade coins everyday of the year, no let up, that includes sundays and holidays 24 hours a day around the clock. That will give you 3,348 certification done in one day?!? How can they do that? I don't know if they are using robots or human being to accomplish this.
Very soon I will be posting my experience with one of these companies.
Thank you Daniel for allowing us make comments.

Budung. I have experiences as well with PCGS. We can speak their name here. I agree with you on the lofty claims, but with a team of graders it is possible. However PCGS makes a lot claims to make themselves appear first at all this and most relevant. It works for most people but not for people like me who are not followers.

I am a truth seeker and PCGS was not the first grading company and I do question how many coins they have graded, but it is possible. I don't see bragging on that improves their status though.
